FESCO launches new intermodal service from China, South Korea and Japan to Russia

Fesco Transportation Group announced the launch of a new intermodal service connecting China, South Korea, Japan and Russia, as part of the expansion of the company’s service network.

The new product provides delivery of cargo by regular sea lines of the company to Nakhodka Sea Fishing Port in Russia from the Korean ports of Busan and Incheon as well as from the Chinese ports of Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao and Xingang with transshipment in Busan.

In addition, the service covers the Japanese ports of Hakata, Kobe, Nagoya, Toyama, Shimizu and Yokohama. The regularity of ship calls is twice a month, according to Fesco, while the basis of cargo flow of the service is consumer goods, electronics and construction materials.

According to the announcement by Fesco, after the arrival of cargo at the port of Nakhoda, it will dispatched to Moscow, the capital of Russia, by rail.

The first train of the new service left Nakhodka with the destination of Moscow on 18 December and the planned date of its return to Nakhodka is on 1-2 January.
