FESCO boosts revenue and earnings

Russian transportation company FESCO Transport Group has reported that the volume of overseas exports climbed by 19% to 342,000 TEUs, its intermodal transportation volumes rose by 9% to 507,000 TEUs and refrigerated freight transportation volumes spiked by 50% to 17,000 TEUs.

Container transshipment in the Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV) grew by 11,000 TEUs as a result of the growth of its own multimodal transportation and the attraction of new operators to replace those who left the Russian market, said the firm.

As a consequence, freight transhipment at CPV set a new high of 13.4 million tonnes.

Furthermore, FESCO had record financial results in 2022 with the company’s revenues increasing by 43% to approximately US$2 billion and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) climbing to almost US$880 million.

The Group continued to increase its assets in order to expand the geography of transportations and to develop new services, upgrading its transport fleet with seven new vessels, including five vessels under management, as well as contracts for acquisition of four container vessels to develop coastal, foreign trade and special transportations were concluded.

In addition, FESCO’s container fleet was increased by 31% and reached a record level of 83,298 units, while the fleet of fitting platforms was replenished with 1,989 units of 80-foot platform.
