FedEx has appointed Vishal Talwar as executive vice president, chief digital and information officer, and president of FedEx Dataworks. His appointment took effect on August 15.
Talwar joins FedEx from Accenture, where he served as senior managing director and chief growth officer of Accenture Technology. He brings more than 27 years of experience in digital transformation, data science, and enterprise-scale technology. He has also held roles at IBM and Dell Services.
At FedEx, Talwar will lead the company’s digital and data strategy, focusing on AI-driven solutions, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity. He has already worked closely with FedEx in recent years through Accenture, advising on its ongoing digital transformation.
Raj Subramaniam, president and CEO of FedEx, said Talwar’s industry knowledge and technology expertise will help the company advance its long-term strategy and create greater value for customers and shareholders.
Talwar said he was honored to join FedEx at a pivotal moment. “I’ve had the privilege of working closely with FedEx in an advisory role, and I have tremendous confidence in its future,” he said.
With this move, leaders of the Data and Technology and Dataworks divisions will now report directly to Talwar.
