Everllence will deliver more than 240 MW of power capacity to three new energy projects in Malaysian Borneo. The company will supply 14 large engines for power plants serving industry and the national grid.
The projects support Malaysia’s push toward climate neutrality by 2050. Authorities continue to expand hydropower and solar generation. At the same time, flexible engine-based power plants are gaining traction to balance renewables.
Everllence’s engines respond quickly to demand changes and maintain high efficiency at partial loads. This makes them suitable for stabilising grids with variable renewable output.
Powering solar glass production
Near Kota Kinabalu, Kibing Solar New Materials is expanding its solar glass factory. Everllence will supply an 18V51/60DF genset delivering more than 18 MW.
The new unit adds to an existing 64 MW installation at the site. The plant will generate its own electricity and operate independently from the public grid. Commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
New plant for Labuan Island
Everllence has also secured a contract with KAB Energy Holdings for a 120 MW gas power plant on Labuan Island. The project includes seven 18V51/60DF engines.
The plant will replace ageing assets and support the region’s growing industrial base. Commissioning is planned for late 2026.
The company is also supplying engines for a related project in Sipitang, Sabah. There, seven gas engines will support a 52 MW plant that powers an FLNG platform. Using the same equipment at both sites will simplify maintenance and operations.
100 MW for Sabah grid
A third project will strengthen Sabah’s electricity network. Everllence will deliver six engines for a new 100 MW power plant in Kimanis.
The engines support fuel switching during operation. This adds resilience to a grid that still relies heavily on natural gas. Fast delivery of key equipment was a deciding factor in awarding the contract.
Everllence said the projects underline its role as a technology partner in Southeast Asia’s energy transition. The company aims to support renewable growth while securing reliable power for industry and households.
