Evergreen: Contract customers will get “superior service”

Taiwan operator Evergreen Lines has said although its GreenX platform will offer non-contract customers access to many services its contract customers will still receive a “superior service”.

Responding to questions from Container News, Evergreen said that GreenX customers will be able to book cargo online more easily and will be able to access instant quotes and secured space on board a vessel, in addition, “GreenX will provide referral services such as freight financing, customs brokerage, trucking, and insurance via the platform.”

The company added, “While Evergreen continues to give its contract customers a superior service, GreenX will enable non-contract and new customers to also access such services easily.”

GreenX is available to any customers wishing to book cargo Evergreen, but it will remain integrated with Evergreen systems and will be exclusive to Evergreen and not be available to other lines to use as a booking system, explained the line.

However, there is no need for a prior contract with Evergreen to make cargo bookings or obtain quotes, GreenX is open to all cargo owners who can arrange services online without spending time searching for service providers independently.
