DP World fully acquires European logistics player Swissterminal

Swissterminal AG has announced its full integration into DP World, following a successful five-year partnership.

Swissterminal has been a major traditional player in the Swiss and French logistics markets. With its terminals in the Basel region (Switzerland) and in Alsace (France), the company acts as a key hub connecting Switzerland, southern Germany, and France with major European seaports. Swissterminal offers a variety of services, including terminal handling, depot and warehouse services, and a state-of-the-art network of rail and barge transport solutions.

Through its full integration into DP World, Swissterminal aims to strengthen its capabilities in seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. The Swissterminal name, brand, and all delivery and billing addresses will remain unchanged.

As part of this transition, Matthias Dischinger will assume the role of CEO of Swissterminal AG. Roman Mayer will remain a member of the Board of Directors and advisor. Additionally, Tatiana Mayer will retain her role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), while Fabrice Marti will continue as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

To further strengthen Swissterminal’s competitive position, DP World plans to invest in infrastructure and sustainable logistics solutions in Switzerland and the tri-border region aiming to further develop Swissterminal as a central logistics hub for international container transport and to advance innovative solutions for global supply chains.
