DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Michael Young as its new CEO for the United States, effective August 1, 2025. The move follows the planned departure of current U.S. CEO Robert Reiter.
Young, who currently leads DHL Global Forwarding operations in the UK and Ireland and serves as President of Global Motorsports, brings over 30 years of experience to the role. His career spans senior commercial and leadership positions across country, regional, and global levels within the DHL network.
Tim Robertson, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Americas, praised the appointment: “Michael’s deep industry experience, people-first leadership style, and strategic mindset make him ideally suited to lead our U.S. operations into the next chapter of growth and innovation.”
In his new role, Young will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and report directly to Tim Robertson. He will focus on advancing DHL’s Strategy 2030 goals, with a particular emphasis on profitable growth in sectors such as e-commerce and SMEs.
“I’m honored to step into this new role at such a dynamic time for our business,” Young said. “I look forward to working with our talented teams across the U.S. to continue delivering excellence for our customers and driving sustainable growth.”
