DHL Freight appoints new CEO

Markus Voss

DHL Global Forwarding has announced the appointment of Markus Voss as the new CEO of DHL Freight, effective September 1, 2025. Voss, who currently serves as Chief Development Officer at DHL Supply Chain, will succeed Uwe Brinks and report directly to Tim Scharwath, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight.



With over two decades at DHL, Voss brings extensive experience in operations, IT, and digital transformation. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to drive further innovation and cross-divisional collaboration in land transport, reinforcing DHL Freight’s role as a key player in European logistics.

“I am very pleased and honored to take on this new role in the company,” said Voss. “Land transport is a crucial component in our customers’ supply chains, and I look forward to enhancing efficiency, transparency, and quality through continued digitalization.”

Voss will also join the division’s management board as part of the transition.
