DH Shipbuilding hits 27% margin in record Q4 performance

DH Shipbuilding has posted strong profit growth for five consecutive quarters, setting a new profitability standard in the shipbuilding industry.

The company announced preliminary consolidated results for 2025 on January 27. Total revenue reached KRW 1.2281 trillion with operating profit of KRW 294.1 billion.

The annual operating margin hit approximately 24%, up 9.2 percentage points from 14.7% in the previous year.

DH Shipbuilding achieved its strongest performance in the fourth quarter. Q4 revenue totaled KRW 350.4 billion, while operating profit reached KRW 95.3 billion.

The result produced a record-high operating margin of 27.2%, the highest level in the company’s history.

DH Shipbuilding has now maintained operating margins above 20% for five consecutive quarters. The performance establishes the company as the most profitable shipyard in its peer group.

Kwon Seung-hoon, Head of Management Planning at DH Shipbuilding, attributed the strong performance to full-scale construction of high value-added shuttle tankers. The company strategically secured these orders in 2024.

“Stable project management and favorable exchange rates also helped improve the quality of our earnings,” Kwon said.

DH Shipbuilding started 2026 on a strong note by securing orders for four crude oil tankers within just two days earlier this month.
