DCSA launches Identity Exchange Platform

The Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) has introduced Identity Exchange, a digital platform that simplifies and strengthens business identity verification in global shipping and logistics.

Global trade depends on trust, yet each new partnership requires repeated compliance and KYC checks. The process is often slow, inconsistent, and costly. Identity Exchange provides a single, trusted gateway to verified company data, helping organisations reduce risk, improve data accuracy, and speed up partner onboarding.

Developed with DCSA’s founding carriers and industry partners, the solution supports the association’s mission to drive digital transformation across container trade.

“Identity Exchange reflects our broader role in building the digital infrastructure shipping needs,” said Niels Nuyens, Chief Product Officer at DCSA. “It enhances daily operations and helps the industry digitalise effectively at scale.”

The platform has achieved a 95% success rate in delivering verified company data. It supports compliance, improves efficiency, and adds value to day-to-day operations.

ZIM’s Global Customer Service team said the platform aligns with its goal to maintain excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with global regulations.

Any revenue from Identity Exchange will fund DCSA’s continued work on open standards and industry-wide digital solutions.
