Danaos has confirmed an order for six 1,800 TEU containerships, with deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2029. While the company did not disclose the shipyard or contract pricing, it announced that four of the vessels have already secured 10-year charters, generating an estimated USD 236 million in revenue backlog.
The new series expands Danaos’ pipeline of modern feeder-class vessels and reinforces its long-term chartering strategy amid continued demand for efficient, smaller tonnage.
