ZIM’s Transatlantic ZCA service has modified its westbound route, substituting Damietta for Mersin as the initial port of call.
This routing change appears to be a direct result of restrictive policies implemented by Turkish ports now reportedly endorsed by government authorities targeting ships with Israeli connections or carrying Israeli-linked cargo.
The updated ZCA itinerary now follows this sequence: Damietta, Ashdod, Haifa, Piraeus, Leghorn, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Halifax, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Kingston, Valencia, Barcelona, returning to Damietta.
