Daily bunker index – 14 Feb.

Coronavirus is continuing to challenge the shipping sector, and there are several regions in which bunker prices have decreased mitigating the upward trend seen earlier this week, according to the latest MABUX update.

The North Europe, Central America and Asia & Oceania regions saw a decline in 380 HFO of US$0.25/tonne, US$2.5/tonne and US$2.34/tonne, respectively. On the other side, South Europe recorded the largest gain of US$7.5/tonne, while world index saw a slight increase of US$0.78/tonne.

North Europe, Central America and Africa & Middle East are the regions with decreased prices in VSFO, while on a global basis VLSFO remained stable.

MGO prices were increased in all the regions of the world and the global gain was a US$1.35/tonne.
