Crowley appoints new chief people officer

Crowley has announced the appointment of Jen Leonard as chief people officer, effective January 1, 2026, as the company continues to strengthen its people-first, performance-driven culture across its maritime, logistics and energy solutions businesses.

Leonard has served as vice president of Crowley’s Talent and Culture group since 2023, where she has played a key role in shaping the company’s human capital strategy. Her work has focused on aligning talent development, employee engagement and learning initiatives with business performance, while strengthening corporate citizenship and workforce development programs.

“Jen has been a central leader in our evolution as a performance-driven, people-centered organization,” said Tom Crowley, Chairman and CEO, Crowley. “She has built the programs and systems that help our teams thrive with accountability, and she has done so with authenticity and a genuine commitment to our people. As we continue to grow, Jen is the right leader to advance our culture of excellence and ensure every person understands the value they bring to our business success.”

In her new role, Leonard will lead Crowley’s enterprise-wide People and Culture organization, overseeing talent acquisition, human resources, compensation and benefits, as well as initiatives focused on inclusion, community engagement and workforce development across marine and professional career paths.

Leonard succeeds Megan Davidson, who was recently appointed chief operating officer, also effective January 1.

“I’m honored to step into this role and continue the momentum Megan has built,” Leonard said. “Crowley’s strength is our people — their expertise, dedication and drive. My commitment as chief people officer is to foster an environment where everyone can do their best work, where we support and elevate one another, and where our culture consistently underpins the high performance we deliver for customers, partners and communities every day.”

Before joining Crowley, Leonard held senior leadership roles at Newfold Digital, Adecco Group and Acosta. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
