COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers expands presence in the Philippines

COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers (Southeast Asia) has expanded its regional footprint with the opening of a representative office in Manila. The new office officially began operations on 26 January 2026.

The Manila office strengthens the company’s localisation strategy and supports its ongoing global expansion. By establishing a presence in the Philippines, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers moves closer to customers and enhances its ability to respond to growing logistics demand in Southeast Asia.

The company said demand is being driven by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and by deeper cooperation between China and the Philippines, particularly in infrastructure, energy, and equipment manufacturing.

The Manila office will serve as a forward hub for market development and project support. It is fully integrated into COSCO SHIPPING’s global network and is expected to improve service responsiveness and operational coordination across the region.

COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers said it will continue to advance localised operations and strengthen regional collaboration to support sustainable international growth.
