COSCO SHIPPING Ports maintains strong throughput growth in April

COSCO SHIPPING Ports (CSP) reported continued growth in total throughput for April, achieving a 5.2% year-on-year increase. The Chinese port and terminal operator handled more than 9.5 million TEUs during the month.

In China, terminals in the Pearl River Delta and Southwest regions showed particularly strong performance. CSP’s overseas terminals also continued their upward trajectory, with throughput rising by 9.6% compared to April last year. Notably, CSP Spain and CSP Abu Dhabi recorded impressive growth, with volumes increasing 12.2% and 10.9%, respectively.



For the first four months of 2025, CSP’s total throughput rose by 7% year-on-year, reaching nearly 34.4 million TEUs. The company’s China portfolio grew by 6.7%, while throughput at overseas terminals increased by 7.6%.
