COSCO Shipping chairman, Wan Min announced the launch of a new service from Beibu Gulf Port to North America West Coast (NAWC).

The opening of this route marks the first direct intercontinental shipping route that connects the provinces and cities along the New Western Land-sea Trade Corridor with North America, creating a new trade channel between ASEAN and North America via Beibu Gulf, according to COSCO.
