COSCO Ports sees September container growth

COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited (CSPL) saw total container throughput rise steadily in September 2025, excluding QPI and CTT. Throughput increased 2.8% year-on-year (YoY).

Terminals in China’s Southwest and Yangtze River Delta regions performed strongly, rising 12.1% and 9.5% YoY, respectively. Overseas terminals also showed growth, with total throughput up 6.8% YoY. CSP Zeebrugge Terminal posted the largest jump, up 18.1% YoY.

  • Non-subsidiaries (excluding QPI & CTT): +4.9% YoY

  • China portfolio (excluding QPI): +1.1% YoY

  • Overseas portfolio (excluding CTT): +6.8% YoY

From January to September 2025, CSPL recorded a 5.2% YoY increase in total throughput (excluding QPI and CTT).

  • Subsidiaries: +2.0% YoY

  • Non-subsidiaries (excluding QPI & CTT): +6.5% YoY

  • China portfolio (excluding QPI): +3.9% YoY

  • Overseas portfolio (excluding CTT): +8.2% YoY

The results highlight CSPL’s continued growth in both domestic and international markets.
