COSCO Specialised Carriers (South America) Co., Ltd. is now officially operating in Manaus, Brazil, connecting the region to the Asian market with containers and general cargo from China.
The first successful calls were completed by the vessels “Peng Bo” (62,000 DWT) and “CSPC Mercury” (85,000 DWT). Both vessels unloaded cargo at Chibatão and Super Terminais, marking a major milestone in regional logistics.
“This operation presented several challenges, but thanks to strong partnerships with Wilson Sons, Grupo Chibatão Oficial, and Super Terminais, we executed it efficiently,” said the company.
The launch reinforces COSCO’s commitment to expanding trade links between South America and Asia and supporting regional supply chains.
