COSCO increases Far East prices

COSCO Shipping Lines is planning an implementation of a new General Rate Restoration for all shipments from Far East to Latin America & Africa ports with the new charges taking effect in June, according to the company’s announcement.

Far East includes China (mainland), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India.

West Africa includes Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Senegal, Cameroon, Congo, Democratic Republic (Zaire) and Congo.

East  Africa includes Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Rwanda, The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Burundi and Malawi.

South Africa includes South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana.

East Coast of SouthAmerica includes Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay

West Coast of South America includes Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Bolivia and Ecuador.

Panama & Caribbean includes Panama, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Guyana, and Caribbean side of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and Colombia.
