COSCO and Yang Ming send more ships to Asia-North Europe after alliance shake-up

Two COSCO have successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz after previously aborting an earlier attempt, accoring to MarineTraffic data.

COSCO Shipping Lines and Yang Ming Marine Transport have significantly increased their Far East-North Europe capacity, after shipping alliances were jigged in February.

Yang Ming is part of THE Alliance that lost Hapag-Lloyd after the German operator decided to pair up with Maersk Line to form Gemini Cooperation. Thereafter, THE Alliance became Premier Alliance, comprising Yang Ming, ONE and HMM.
