COP28 chooses Kuehne+Nagel as freight forwarding and logistics partner

Kuehne+Nagel has been selected as the official logistics partner for the worldwide 2023 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai by COP28.

The event is scheduled to convene approximately 70,000 accredited visitors to the restricted Blue Zone and 50,000 daily visits to the public Green Zone from 30 November to 12 December.

“The appointment validates Kuehne+Nagel’s expertise in exhibition and events logistics, as well as its commitment to science-based emission reduction objectives and decarbonization activities in logistics,” said the company in a statement.

Kuehne+Nagel will be the sole ground handler at Expo City Dubai, in charge of overseeing all logistical activities on-site, such as the construction of country pavilions and panel discussion stages.

Furthermore, the team will assist participants with their end-to-end and local logistics requirements, including international freight forwarding, customs clearing, and warehousing.

“We are proud to have been appointed for this important conference. Kuehne+Nagel is well-known in the events and exhibition space in Europe, and this appointment underpins our efforts to further develop this segment in the Middle East—an area with great infrastructure to accommodate this industry,” stated Damian Raczynski, national manager of UAE and Oman at Kuehne+Nagel.
