On 1 January 2026, Contargo acquired 50% of Cargo-Center-Graz Logistik GmbH (CCGL). The partnership strengthens both companies. Contargo expands its network to Adriatic ports, while CCGL gains future rail connections to Contargo’s network.
CCGL at Cargo Terminal Graz acts as a central logistics hub. It manages block trains between Graz and southern ports. It also handles truck pre-carriage and on-carriage, along with scheduling and dispatch operations.
Current CCGL operations include:
-
Koper–Bilk–Enns–Koper: 1 round trip per week
-
Koper–Graz–Koper: 4 round trips per week (planned increase to 6 in 2026)
-
Graz–Enns–Graz: 2 round trips per week
The focus is on sustainable transport linking German industry, Austrian markets, Adriatic ports, and Southeast Europe. Trailers will be transported along these routes in addition to containers.
This year, the Graz hub will connect to Contargo’s network by rail, starting in the Frankfurt-Wörth region. Customers will benefit from a direct, sustainable rail link to Adriatic ports and Southeast European markets. The cooperation targets long-term growth. Additional Adriatic ports will be linked to the Graz hub as an initial step.
