CMA CGM’s CNC links Japan and South Korea with feeder service

CMA CGM’s intra-Asia short-sea expert CNC and the Kochi Prefecture Government’s Department of Public Works celebrated the Nine Provinces Feeder (NPF) service launch at the port of Kochi in Japan.

According to the statement, NPF is one of only two non-domestic routes to Kochi. The first NPF sailing to Kochi carried fertiliser, textile, metal, pulp and paper, and animal feed to the Prefecture’s commercial and industrial zone.

The feeder service offers a quick three-day trip from Kochi to Busan. Export containers from Japan will be transported from Busan to destinations throughout Asia via CNC’s service network and worldwide via CMA CGM’s services.

The weekly NPF connects the ports of Japan and South Korea with a port rotation of Busan – Hakata – Shibushi – Hososhima – Kochi – Oita – Moji – Hakata – Busan.
