CMA CGM has decided to reshuffle GTL – Greece Türkiye Libya Express service, which will now also include Egypt, with a new rotation duration being extended from 21 to 28 days.

The updated GTL service will launch on 10 July 2023 with the vessel Mayfield. GTL will be operated by four vessels with 1,200 TEU capacity each, while the service’s frequency will be weekly.

The port rotation of the service will be Thessaloniki (Greece) – Port Said East (Egypt) – Beirut (Lebanon) – Iskenderun (Türkiye) – Malta – Misurata (Libya) – Bingazi (Libya) – Malta – Piraeus (Greece) – Thessaloniki (Greece)

The French ocean carrier said the updated service will improve connectivity with Egypt among East Mediterranean countries and adapt market opportunities for reefer imports.
