CMA CGM has announced new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for cargo moving from Asia to North Europe, effective from 15 January 2026 (date of loading) until further notice.
Under the revised tariff, the base port-to-base port rates are set at USD 2,100 for 20-foot general purpose containers and USD 3,800 for 40-foot containers, including 40’GP, 40’HC, and 40’ reefer units. Outports will remain subject to the usual Terminal Additional Origin (TAO) and Terminal Additional Destination (TAD) charges.
The updated FAK rates apply to shipments originating from all Asian ports, including Japan, Southeast Asia, and Bangladesh, and destined for all North European ports, covering the UK and the full range from Portugal to Finland and Estonia.
The rates apply to dry cargo, out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo, paying empties, and reefer cargo.
CMA CGM said the revised FAK rates will remain in effect from 15 January 2026 until further notice, based on the loading date at the origin ports.
