CMA CGM to reshuffle MIDAS 2 service

CMA CGM has announced changes in its MIDAS 2 service, which is connecting South Africa with the Middle East Gulf and India.

The French shipping group will skip its call at the Port of Pointe-des-Galets, shortening its voyage by seven days and directly calling Jebel Ali after South Africa.

The updated service rotation will be Jebel Ali ─ Mundra ─ Nhava Sheva ─ Durban ─ Port Elizabeth ─ Jebel Ali, while it is expected to start with the 2,672TEU EM Astoria in July.

CMA CGM said that imports from India & the Middle East Gulf to Pointe-des-Galets will be offered via South Africa and/or Indian Ocean, while exports from Pointe-des-Galets will be offered via South East Asia and/or via India/Gulf.
