CMA CGM to launch new service linking Morocco, France and Spain

CMA CGM – Short Sea Lines Division has announced its new butterfly MOROCCO SHUTTLE service launching from the 45th week of the year between Morocco, France and Spain.

This new weekly service will start ex Agadir on 10 November and will assist in the implementation of a sustainable maritime bridge between Agadir & Port Vendres for the upcoming fruit & vegetable campaign.

The French carrier said this will allow a -75% CO2 emissions savings compared to traditional truck modal on this corridor.

CMA CGM noted there will be two 1,100 container vessels, each one including 220 reefer plugs with 45’RFH intake on the new service, which will have the following port rotation:

Agadir (Morocco) – Port Vendres (France) – Barcelona (Spain) – Algeciras (Spain) – Tanger Med (Morocco) – Casablanca (Morocco) – Agadir

CMA CGM pointed out that the new service will need 3.5 days from the port of Agadir to Port Vendres.
