The service will provide:

  • Direct links from China to Kenya and Tanzania.

  • Full Asian port coverage via Singapore transshipment.

  • Colombo calls to connect cargo between China, East Africa and India’s East Coast.

  • Dedicated shuttle to Male from Colombo, starting August 25.

  • Relay services via Mombasa for Zanzibar, Tanga, Longoni and Tamatave, and via Lamu for Port Victoria, Mogadishu, Nacala and the Comoros.

  • Inland connectivity extending to Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia, Malawi and the DRC.

CMA CGM says the new service is designed to streamline operations and improve customer experience across this fast-growing trade corridor.
