CMA CGM to apply PSS from North Europe to West Coast South America

CMA CGM has announced the introduction of a Peak Season Surcharge on shipments moving from North Europe to the West Coast of South America.

The surcharge will take effect from 1 March 2026 until further notice and will apply to dry cargo only. It will cover shipments originating from all ports in North Europe, including Scandinavia and the Baltics, destined for the West Coast of South America.

CMA CGM said the Peak Season Surcharge will be set at USD 118 or EUR 100 per TEU and will apply to quarterly contracts and under.

The measure is part of the carrier’s efforts to maintain service reliability and operational efficiency during the peak season period.
