According to DynaLiners, CMA CGM is set to resume calls to Russia, marking its return to the country for the first time since withdrawing in early 2022 following the invasion of Ukraine.
The carrier has adjusted its Finland Express (FLX) service — which links Bremerhaven and Hamburg with key Baltic ports — by replacing Gdansk with a weekly call at Rauma (Finland). Beginning mid-November, the service will extend to St. Petersburg, served on a fortnightly basis, alternating with Rauma.
Once the changes take effect, the updated rotation will be: Bremerhaven, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Rauma, Kotka, Helsinki, Tallinn**, and back to Bremerhaven (alternating calls).
This move signals CMA CGM’s cautious re-entry into the Russian market through a controlled and alternating service structure.
