CMA CGM raises charges to East Africa

The French liner operator CMA CGM will implement fresh Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for sailings with destination to East Africa’s regions. The increased prices will be effective from 1 August.

More specifically, the shipping company will increase its rates from India, Pakistan, Middle East Gulf, Red Sea and Australia, to Massawa, Eritrea, with the updated charges ranging from US$1,220 per TEU and US$2,340 per FEU to US$4,730 per TEU and US$9,260 per FEU.

Moreover, the Marseille-headquartered carrier will apply new FAK rates from the Black Sea, India, Pakistan, Middle East Gulf, Red Sea and Africa to Berbera in Somalia.
