CMA CGM implements PSS from Med to North America

French ocean carrier CMA CGM will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on shipments from the Mediterranean to the U.S. East Coast, U.S. Gulf, and Canadian East Coast, including all inland destinations served via these ports.

Effective 15 June 2025 until further notice, the following surcharges will apply:



From the Mediterranean (including France – Fos/Marseille, Portugal, Italy, and Spain – Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto) to:

  • U.S. East Coast and U.S. Gulf:

– US$500 per container

– Applies to all cargo types except Out of Gauge (OOG) and breakbulk

  • Canadian East Coast:

– US$250 per 20’ container

– US$500 per 40’, 40’HC, and 45’ container

– Applies to all cargo types except Out of Gauge (OOG) and breakbulk
