CMA CGM launches new rail services in Egypt

CMA CGM Group announced new dedicated rail services in Egypt connecting Alexandria and Ain Sokhna ports to the October Dry Port (ODP) near Cairo’s main industrial and logistics zone.

CMA CGM said its rail solutions between Alexandria and Ain Sokhna ports and ODP offer “a very fast and dependable intermodal transit time of one day” to the ODP Ramp, as well as “a seamless customer experience with customs clearance” at the October Dry Port Ramp.

October Dry Port Ramp may be reached from Shanghai in 40 days via Alexandria, Nhava Sheva in 18 days, Hamburg in 19 days, Barcelona in 12 days, and New York in 35 days, while exports from Ain Sokhna to Asia main ports need 28 days.
