CMA CGM launches new rail service in Spain

CMA CGM has announced the addition of a new dedicated rail service connecting Valencia with the industrial and logistics zone of Murcia in Spain.

The French carrier said the new service is effective from May and offers rail shuttle with weekly departures. CMA CGM noted the new product provides an intermodal transit time of one day with carbon dioxide (CO2) savings of 3.41 compared to trucks.

The service will export cargo from Murcia Ramp to Shanghai in 39 days, Nhava Sheva in 32 days, Hamburg in 10 days and New York in 10 days. Additionally, the importing cargo from Shanghai will take 31 days, 22 days from Nhava Sheva, and five days from Ambarli.
