CMA CGM launches “Morocco Reefer Tour”

Launch of the “Morocco Reefer Tour”: CMA CGM meets the producers of citrus and Moroccan vegetables to present their know-how as a world leader

The CMA CGM Group, a world leader in maritime transport, annunced the inauguration of its traveling container, the “Morocco Reefer Tour”, on November 12 in Casablanca in the presence of representatives of the autonomous control establishment. and Export Coordination (EACCE), exporters’ associations, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Morocco (CFCIM) and the French Embassy in Morocco.

 

An unprecedented tour close to the producers of citrus fruits and vegetables of the Kingdom

Until December, seven Moroccan cities will host a traveling container that will be transformed, decorated and arranged for the occasion: Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Beni Mellal, Berkane, Larache and Tangier. These cities have been chosen to go closer to the producers of citrus fruits and Moroccan vegetables, which are currently in export season. During these stopovers, they will be able to study the operation of a CMA CGM refrigerated container (Reefer) and develop best practices to optimize the transport of their products.

This unprecedented tour allows CMA CGM, the world’s second-largest Reefer carrier, to promote its refrigerated container shipping expertise and technologies, and to share tips on container potting.

 

3 dedicated services for the export of fruits and vegetables from Morocco

In order to support the export season of Moroccan citrus fruits and vegetables, the CMA CGM Group has also decided to reinforce its seasonal offer this year from Morocco. This is achieved by optimizing the AGAX, CISS and DUNKRUS lines, which link Morocco directly to Northern Europe and Russia each week. CMA CGM reaffirms its support for the economic development of Morocco, which it accompanies in particular agricultural exports.
