CMA CGM introduces peak season surcharges from Europe to America

French container line CMA CGM has announced new peak season surcharges from Europe to American destinations.

First of all, the company will implement a new peak season surcharge (PSS) from North Europe, including Scandinavia, Baltic, Spain Atlantic – Portugal excluded, to the Canadian East Coast, effective from 15 October. The PSS will apply to all cargo, except Out of Gauge and breakbulk, and will be US$250 per TEU / US$500 per 40′-45′.

Furthermore, CMA CGM has announced a new PSS from North Europe, including Scandinavia, Poland & Baltic, East & West Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea & North Africa (Egypt not concerned) to the United States, Mexico East Coast and Canada East Coast for every type of cargo, except Out of Gauge. Effective from 2 November, the PSS will be US$500 per 20′ / US$1,000 per 40′ & 45′.

In addition, CMA CGM will introduce a PSS from North Europe, including Scandinavia, Poland & Baltic, East & West Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea & North Africa (Egypt not concerned), to the Dominican Republic and Colombia (Atlantic). The surcharge of €150 per TEU / €300 per FEU will apply only to dry and non-operating reefer (NOR) cargo and will be effective from 7 November.
