CMA CGM introduces new peak season surcharges on Transatlantic Routes

CMA CGM Group has announced new Peak Season Surcharges on shipments from North Europe to the United States.

For cargo moving from North Europe, including Scandinavia, the Baltic, and the Spanish Atlantic coast (excluding Portugal), to the US West Coast, the surcharge is set at US$ 150 per 20-foot container and US$ 300 per 40- or 45-foot container, applicable to all cargo types.



Additionally, a similar surcharge will be applied on shipments from all North European ports, including North France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic, and North Spain (Bilbao and Gijón), excluding Portugal, to the US East Coast, Gulf Coast, and Mexico East Coast.

For dry containers, the surcharge will be US$ 75 per 20’, US$ 150 per 40’, and US$ 350 per 45’, and for reefer containers, the surcharge will be US$ 400 per 20’, US$ 800 per 40’, and US$ 1,000 per 45’.
