CMA CGM implements PSS from North Europe to North America

CMA CGM, the French carrier, has announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS02) effective from 15 September 2024 (loading date) until further notice.

This surcharge applies to shipments from all North European ports—including North France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic region, and North Spain (Bilbao, Gijon)—to the US East Coast, US Gulf, Canada East Coast, Mexico, and all inland destinations accessible via these ports.

The PSS covers Dry and Reefer cargo (excluding special equipment and OOG). The surcharge amounts are US$250 per 20′ container and US$500 per 40′ and 45′ containers.
