CMA CGM has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments traveling from the East Mediterranean to the United States. This measure supports the carrier’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient services during periods of high demand.

Scope of the surcharge

The PSS takes effect on April 15, 2026, based on the loading date. It applies to all cargo types, excluding out-of-gauge (OOG) equipment.

  • Origin range: East Mediterranean (EMED) countries, including Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Egypt, Syria, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania, Croatia, Albania, and Slovenia.

  • Destination range: All US East Coast and US Gulf ports of discharge, as well as inland points reached via these ports.

Applicable amounts

The surcharge is determined by container size and type. The following amounts will apply:
