CMA CGM implementes reefer surcharge from America to Far East

French ocean carrier CMA CGM has notified its customers of an upcoming Peak Season Surcharge (PSS), effective from 1 November 2024 until further notice.

This surcharge will apply to reefer cargo from the West Coast of South America, the West Coast of Central America, the Mexico West Coast, the East Coast of Central America, the Caribbean, and the Windward Islands, to China, Hong Kong & Macau SAR, Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia.

The PSS rate is US$500 per container, according to the company.
