CMA CGM applies surcharges from Russia & Baltic

CMA CGM has announced new rates and surcharges in a number of trades as the pressure on rate remains in the run up to Chinese New Year.

CMA CGM has announced the following emergency space surcharge (ESS), effective from 15 March 2020 (date of loading) until further notice:

  • Origin : Baltic
  • Destination: Red Sea, Indian Sub-continent, Middle East Gulf, North East Asia, South East Asia, China, Hong Kong SAR & Macau SAR
  • Cargo: Dry & Reefer
  • Amount: US$100 per TEU
  • Origin : St Petersburg, Bronka, Ust’-Luga & Kaliningrad
  • Destination: North Europe, Baltic, Scandinavia & Poland
  • Cargo: Dry & Reefer
  • Amount: US$50 per TEU
  • Origin : St Petersburg, Bronka, Ust’-Luga & Kaliningrad
  • Destination: East Mediterranean, West Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea & North Africa
  • Cargo: Dry & Reefer
  • Amount: US$55 per TEU
  • Origin : Latvia, Lithuania & Estonia
  • Destination: East Med, West Med, Adriatic, Black Sea & North Africa
  • Cargo: Dry & Reefer
  • Amount: US$54 per TEU

CMA CGM also announced the following peak season surcharge from 16 March 2020 (March 20th, 2020 for United States trades) until further notice:

  • Origin: Vostochny & Vladivostok
  • Destination: Worldwide destinations
  • Cargo: Dry
  • Amount: US$100 per TEU
