CMA CGM applies low water surcharge in Montreal

French box carrier CMA CGM has announced the implementation of a Montreal low water surcharge, effective from 10 November for all shipments and 1 December for shipments to US & US territories, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Panama & Venezuela.

The surcharge from the major Canadian port to all destinations worldwide, except Brazil’s port of Manaus, will apply to all types of cargo, except out-of-gauge, and will be US$150 per TEU.

CMA CGM noted the low water surcharge will be effective until further notice.
