CMA CGM applies congestion surcharge in Algeria

Due to the ongoing congestion in Algeria, CMA CGM has informed its customers of the introduction of a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS).

This surcharge will take effect on 9 September 2024 (based on the loading date) and will remain in place until further notice.

The congestion surcharge applies to all cargo transported from North Europe to Algeria, covering the ports of Alger, Bejaia, Skikda, and Oran. The surcharge amount is set at US$166 per TEU.
