CMA CGM has upgraded its CAGEMA service by introducing a new direct call at Montreal, expanding connectivity between Canada, the U.S., and Latin America.
The enhanced service will maintain its existing call at Saint John, giving shippers access to two Canadian gateways with fixed weekly schedules, Montreal on Sundays and Saint John on Fridays.
The update provides direct links from Canada to key Caribbean markets, including Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. It also expands access to broader Latin American destinations via the Kingston hub.
Additional connectivity is available through New York, linking Canadian shippers to India, Türkiye, the Mediterranean, Oceania, and the Middle East via five direct CMA CGM services. The service also offers connections to Asia through Kingston.
The new setup improves transit times for imports into Montreal from Latin America, enabling faster and more reliable delivery of sensitive cargo compared to routing via New York.
CAGEMA will operate as a standalone weekly service using a fleet of five CMA CGM vessels, strengthening the carrier’s network across the Americas.
