CMA CGM has announced the launch of a new direct call at Vung Tau, Vietnam, on its MEX1 service, providing an exclusive and unique connection between Vietnam and the Mediterranean. The new call will be handled at CMA CGM’s own Gemalink Terminal, reinforcing the group’s strategic presence in Southeast Asia.
The first Vung Tau call on MEX1 will be operated by the CMA CGM JULES VERNE (voy. 0MEM3W1MA) with the following schedule:
Vung Tau (ETA 27/10) – Valencia (ETA 25/11) – Barcelona (ETA 28/11) – Fos (ETA 30/11) – Malta (ETA 05/12)
CMA CGM is also enhancing its Cambodia coverage through a fast barge service from Phnom Penh, offering competitive transit times to Vung Tau and smooth integration into the company’s global network.
With this new direct link, CMA CGM becomes the only carrier offering a direct service from Vung Tau to the Mediterranean, reinforcing its market leadership in the region. The combination of Phnom Penh–Vung Tau barge connectivity and MEX core loop vessels—alongside strategic Mediterranean hubs in Valencia, Fos-sur-Mer, and Malta—enables the group to deliver faster, more reliable service options for customers.
