CLIP Group’s Container Terminal Mala has signed a contract with Polish infrastructure firm TorKol to design and build a modern intermodal terminal in Małaszewicze. The facility will sit at a key crossroads between the EU customs union and Eurasian transport routes, strengthening Poland’s role as a gateway for East–West freight.
The terminal will handle major transit flows between China and Europe, supporting both rail–road and rail–rail operations. It will enable transshipment between broad gauge and standard gauge tracks, backed by new tracks, upgraded arrival and departure lines, modern yards, roads, technical infrastructure, and advanced cargo-handling and IT systems.
TorKol will oversee the full project delivery, ensuring high standards and timely completion. Construction is set to finish by June 2026.
CLIP Group President Agnieszka Hipś called the investment “strategically important for Poland and the EU,” while TorKol CEO Sławomir Piątek highlighted the partnership’s role in advancing Poland’s logistics future.
Once operational, the Małaszewicze terminal will boost East–West rail capacity, create jobs, and cement Poland’s position as a critical logistics hub in Europe.
