Clarion Shipping West Africa enters container shipping market

West Africa Container Terminal in Nigeria

According to DynaLiners, a new Nigerian container shipping company, Clarion Shipping West Africa, has officially entered the market with the acquisition of a 350 TEU vessel built in 2014.

The company has launched operations along the West African coast, serving ports in Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.

Looking ahead, Clarion Shipping plans to expand its fleet with a second vessel, which will be deployed on a Nigeria–China route, signaling the company’s ambition to link West Africa directly with Asia and strengthen regional trade connectivity.

Founded in 2006 as a family-owned enterprise, Clarion Group was established in response to the growing demand for reliable shipping services to and from Nigerian ports.

The firm has since evolved into a comprehensive logistics provider, supporting businesses across West Africa and Asia with a broad range of maritime and supply chain solutions.
