Circle S.p.A. secures contract to advance digital interoperability in Italy’s port system

Circle S.p.A. has announced the signing of a new €200,000 contract aimed at enhancing the interoperability and digital transformation of Italy’s national port system.

The initiative focuses on developing and expanding the Extended Port Community System, an advanced digital platform that connects ports, inland terminals, transport operators, and public authorities in real time.

The platform is designed to streamline the integrated management of cargo and data flows, enhancing both efficiency and security.

This new contract positions Circle Group as a key enabler of the digital transition within Mediterranean ports, helping to establish a network of interconnected, resilient, and operationally efficient logistics hubs.

Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group, commented that interoperability, IT security, and resilience are essential to guarantee the competitiveness of Italian logistics and it’s in line with the ‘Connect 4 Agile Growth’ business plan.
