Chinese delegation visits LSCT

On Friday October 26th a delegation from the Chinese city of Zhuhai visited La Spezia, attending institutional and business meetings with representatives of the private and public sector.

La Spezia Mayor Pierluigi Perracchiani, and Culture, Tourism and International Cooperation Commissioner Paolo Asti welcomed visitors in La Spezia last Friday. The delegation was composed by five guests: Mr. Guan Yingyan, Deputy-General Director of the permanent Committee of the People’s Congress in Zhuhai; Mr. Gao Ping, Director of the Instruction, Science, Culture, Health, Foreign and Religious Affairs Commission of the permanent Committee of the People’s Congress; Mr. Qiu Weiqing, Deputy-Consultant of the Foreign Affairs Office; Mr. Guo Hongcai, President of the Professional School ‘First Vocational School’ and Ms. Xiao Shiting, Interpreter of the Foreign Affairs Office.

Included in the tour agenda was a visit in Contship La Spezia’s Container Terminal; the delegation assisted a short briefing and a presentation by LSCT General Manager Antonio Testi, to learn more about the terminal operations and the Group effort to engage Asian stakeholders, cargo owners and operators, with a specially dedicated business proposition.

With a Chinese version of the corporate website, a new official account on WeChat and annual Roadshows, the Contship Italia Group continues to engage with stakeholders in the Far East. The goal is to showcase the benefits of using the Southern Gateway logistic option, with Contship Italia’s integrated intermodal solutions.
